About Cloudy County
Cloudy County was founded in March 2022 by Dewayne Hyatt and Joe Gasper to give extension professionals a dedicated space to learn, share, and keep pace with rapidly evolving Microsoft 365 technologies.
After years of working side by side supporting land-grant universities, traveling thousands of miles, and visiting extension offices across Florida and beyond, Dewayne and Joe saw a consistent gap. Faculty, agents, and IT staff were expected to use modern collaboration tools, but rarely had access to training that reflected the realities of extension work. National events like NACAA and NETC offered valuable moments to connect, but the ongoing, practical learning in between was missing.
Cloudy County was built to fill that gap.
Today, it is a free, community-driven learning space for faculty, staff, and IT professionals affiliated with land-grant university extension programs — 480 members across 56 institutions and growing. Each month, members come together to explore tools like Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Copilot, share real-world scenarios, and learn from peers who understand the mission of extension.
No fees. No gatekeeping. Just a shared commitment to learning together.
Because in extension, sharing is caring.
What happens on a community call
The Cloudy County Community Calls are a monthly gathering for anyone working in — or curious about — the Microsoft 365 cloud. Hosted by The #ShiftShow, each call covers:
- What’s New & Near — a rolling look at what just shipped across M365 and what’s coming next.
- A featured topic — a deep dive on a specific product or scenario (Copilot, Teams, Forms, Viva, SharePoint, and more).
- Live demos and Q&A — practical walkthroughs you can take back to your own organization.
Every call is recorded and posted to our YouTube playlist. This site mirrors the most recent calls so you can browse, search, and share them more easily.
